I would call other places. I had to get on David's Bridal to make sure my alterations could start mod February.

My wedding date is the same as yours and I agree that March may be cutting it close. It all depends on your dress and what alterations you want/need. I know I only need hemming and bustle so they told me I'd be okay until mid-February before needing to go.

I bought shapeware (strapless bra and waist cincher) but I'm not sure I'm going to wear it. I just took these tonight, ignore my daughter's bedroom and our bathroom. I think since you need a couple extra things you should go with your plan to at least see what other reputable seamstresses in your area think for a timeline, better to have it done early than not have enough time!

My wedding is April 18 and I have my first fitting February 8th! I would call around and get in earlier. You went to pick up your dress like 3 weeks prior.

My wedding is 04/09 and my first fitting is 02/01.
