Stamps on Rsvps

Hey, quick question. We are doing a traditional wedding suite (including an RSVP and envelopes) and also have a wedding website with RSVP. Our bridal shower RSVP is also on the wedding website exclusively. As a result, at least 1/2 those attending our wedding will be definitely RSVPing online, and most of those invited are young and will as well. We only are including paper RSVPs for a few older great aunts/uncles who aren’t savvy with technology.

With that said, what should we do about stamping RSVP envelopes? I am a practical person and hate to waste stamps on all the RSVP envelopes for them to end up in the trash. I also don’t want to appear cheap by not including them. Would it be inappropriate for us to include a stamp on backing with the invitation suite so it can be used for the RSVP if needed or they can save it and use it again later if they plan to RSVP online? I just hate to waste $80 on RSVP envelope stamps knowing over 1/2 of them will end up in the trash. Smiley sad

I think if you're doing it this way, then don't give a return envelope to the younger or more tech-savvy half. If you're confident they know how to RSVP digitally, put an insert with a link or QR code. Then only buy stamps for those who actually need to RSVP traditionally, with a return envelope. There's no obligation to give a small envelope and stamp to every single guest when you know most won't use them.

I agree with this and that’s what we were thinking of doing as well.
