Has anyone had any experience with either of these resorts? I keep changing my mind, they both look so amazing!! I would love to hear any experiences!

I can't speak for the experience yet, but I can say that we booked at Ladera! I think you have to go into it wanting an eco-lodge experience though. We're staying 3 nights there, then taking a helicopter to the north side of the island and spending 5 more nights at Sandals Grande.

Honeymoon planning is the best! Smiley smile Enjoy!

I did my honeymoon at Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia but also visited the Grande for dinner. Please let me know if you have questions. You should be excited, it was amazing!!!

So I didn't do either one of those, but we did go to Ti Kaye (which I highly recommend). We went snorkeling at Sugar Beach, and it was amazing! We LOVED our time in St. Lucia and are already to go back (and we just returned Tuesday haha).

My husband and I did a one year anniversary trip last month and split time between Ladera and Hideaway at Royalton in the north of the island. We did two nights at Ladera and it was the perfect amount of time for us. It was a very relaxing environment, the views really are unreal, the staff treats you amazing, and the food at Dasheene (we ate there for every meal while at Ladera) was amazing (although definitely resort pricey). My husband and I both agreed we were glad we didn't do more than 2 nights because we do enjoy watching TV occasionally while on vacation and the bugs did bother us a bit. We seem to be the odd ones out as most reviews say the bugs aren't bad, but we got bit like crazy even with lighting the coil Ladera provided and using ample bug spray. It also gets so dark once its dark and there is limited entertainment options (we were lucky we downloaded shows on a tablet) as after 8pm we were resigned to sitting in our bed with the mosquito net to protect us.

If you like to spend a lot of time at the beach I'd stay at Sugar beach because the beach experience taking the Ladera shuttle to Sugar Beach isn't great. You only have access to the public portion and locals will repeatedly come up to you trying to sell you fruits, drinks, or boat tours. If you want access to the nicer chairs that regular guest get at Sugar Beach you have to pay $50 per person. If you aren't a beach person though and don't need a ton of nighttime entertainment, go with Ladera! It's beautiful and lounging in our plunge pool during the day was amazing. Those two days were some of the most relaxing moments I've ever had on vacation. Hope this was helpful. I attached a picture of the view from our room at Ladera!
