St. Lucia help! (Sandals La Toc and Halcyon)

Hi all, So I'm looking into booking our honeymoon in St. Lucia in end of May in 2017. I'm looking at Sandals La Toc or Halcyon right now (Grande is a little too expensive). I wanted to hear from you all which one is better in your opinion. And is travel protection plan worth it? My other question...

So I'm looking into booking our honeymoon in St. Lucia in end of May in 2017. I'm looking at Sandals La Toc or Halcyon right now (Grande is a little too expensive). I wanted to hear from you all which one is better in your opinion. And is travel protection plan worth it?

My other question is, how much money besides the hotel do we need to bring approx.? And what to do/see there.

I'm also opened to other suggestions if anyone here has been to an all inclusive there. Thank you in advance!

    We are staying at Sugar Beach Resort in St. Lucia. We selected one of the villas that included a private pool. I've heard about the La Toc but we got a really great deal with the Sugar Beach Resort. The package that we went with came with a free day stay after booking 4 nights. Make sure you check out the reviews for the mud baths and zip-lining (TreeTop Adventure Park).

    What resort/hotel was it? Did you like it? I'm getting married in St. Lucia in May 2022. I'm planning my wedding now.
