Spray Tan

Kristie, on August 27, 2021 at 5:32 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 15
So, I was thinking about getting a spray tan for my wedding but I've never had one. Do y'all have any suggestions or anything I should be concerned with? Also, how far in advance should I get the service done?

I never had a spray tan either and was going to get one before the wedding but ran out of time. My advise I got from other women is to do research on the spray tan company. Some people at my work get spray tan and I can tell you that some didn't go to a good one, one lady came in looking orange and another guy came in spotted up looking like he had something wrong with him. Also and tip people gave me was get the spray tan far in advance to see if you like it and how your body reacts. Then when it gets closer to the wedding you will know for sure if it's something you want.

I've read reviews about the company and they are all glowing. I think I will try and get one done as a trial and decide then. Thanks for the idea.

I would recommend doing a test run a few months before the wedding to make sure you like how it turns out. Maybe for a pre wedding event such as bachelorette party.

Do a trial anywhere from 6 weeks to a few months out from the wedding. Depending on the tan, normally 1-2 days before is the best time.

Also when/if you get the tan, wear loose clothes, baggy sweatpants and a loose top works best for me. Wear flip-flops, and don't wear socks.

They spray the feet, or they spray the lower leg and enough of the spray lands on the feet.

You don't have to be nude if you don't want to be.

Lots of places do spray tans in a booth, so if you are naked, no one knows. However, hand sprayers generally come out more even, and is common to be in a swimsuit or panties. I've had many spray tans and LOVE them. Best to do it around 3 days before your event. The only thing I am nervous with is it rubbing off on my dress like it does on my bras..

Semi-related but I have a permanent tank top tan and am wearing an off the shoulder dress as a bridesmaid (and likely as a bride as well)... can a spray tan correct this or will I look silly

I'm also looking into chemical peels... It might just be sun damage at this point haha. Maybe an aesthetician would have better insight

You could also try makeup on it as well. You could call your makeup artist and ask if it's possible.

Depending on when your wedding is I’d do a trial to test it out and make sure the chemical make up works well with your skin! I’ve had certain formulas look amazing Ans others orange.

I was thinking about doing that a few days before my trial hair and makeup so I don't look like Casper that day and golden tan the day of the wedding.
