Is anyone else thinking of doing spray tan for your wedding?

What are the pros/cons?

Pros: Minimal skin cancer risk compared to tanning beds/sunlight

    Cons: You look orange.

I've had spray tans in the past and there was always an issue in my experiences. It was not really consistent. Some spots would drip and cause a weird line. If anything, check out reviews and go get one done now as a test to see if you like it.

If you do, don't go to a booth. Find somebody that does the spraying themselves. I've done both and I've never been unhappy with the outcome of the ones that were done by hand, plus I really didn't think I looked orange. The spray booths are blotchy and yeah, orange.

The biggest con for me, was the self tanner smell. Why do they all smell so awful?!!? They also leave a greasy feel and if I remember right, I was advised to wait 8 hours before I showered...and i counted down the minutes. That first shower will make you think it's all coming off, but it's not.

Oh. Lastly. Sprays don't last that long and if you get another it will probably be blotchy. My friend does this and...yeah it's not super. If you get one I'd do it the day before, and no shaving unless you want white spots.

I'm not sure about getting one for my big day, my dress has an illusion neckline and I'm afraid it will stain. I'm white as a ghost though, because I've had too many close calls with tanning and no longer feel like pushing my luck...

I did a custom spray that just gave me a bit of color and minimized my farmer tan look. I did it the Thursday before the Saturday wedding...no staining. And it didn't smell.

Where I live they have "versa tan" it sprays on clear and over 8 hrs it gets the tan color you pick out

    It doesn't look orange

I did a trial run, and I also had a person do it with an organic airbrush tan. I think it came out great. Attached is me and my mom (we both got them done, we both asked for a light coating/natural glow. She has a darker skin tone than I do).

ETA I'm super pale so yes that's me with a spray tan. I think it can definitely look natural.

I literally just had one done for my engagement photos. I'm very pale and FH has a natural olive skin tone, so I didn't want to look like a ghost next to him. I went the airbrush tanning route and I was actually really pleased. I just didn't like feeling a bit sticky for 8-12 hours until I could shower.

Definitely go to a person rather then a booth. You get more natural results. Also be sure to exfoliate before and moisterize after. And take the first warm water only rinse when they tell you to. Do a trial run if you are nervous about it!

Have an airbrush tan done by a person; not a booth spray. Try it out a few times, get a bridal trial. You won't come out orange and they can customize it.

Get a trail before you spray tan!

also, if you are doing your honeymoon somewhere with a poor or a beach be prepared to flake.
