Spray tan or Tanning Bed?

Molly, on July 20, 2020 at 12:52 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7

What are you all doing for your tans!?

I'm between having someone spray tan me with an actual spray gun or go bed tanning. I'd rather not go bed tanning, but I also don't want rubbage on my dress with the spray tan! any advice?

Thanks!

I wouldn't raise my chances of skin cancer for a one day event. Spray tans are great and if you have it done professionally 2-3 days before your wedding, you shouldn't have any issues with color transfer.

I wouldn't do either. But between those 2, I would definitely choose a spray tan.

I definitely agree that your wedding is not worth increasing your risk of skin cancer. If you've never done a spray tan, get a test one now so you can see for yourself about color transfer to clothing.

I’ve done the spray tan 2x before and plan to do it for my upcoming wedding. Just do it 2-3 day ahead of time and you’ll be fine. I never had issues with color transfer once I showered the first day.

Spray tan two days before your wedding! Shower all the excess off and you should be fine.

I would do a spray tan, but do not let your first one be for the wedding! Your skin can react unpredictably to these things so you'll need a practice run first. That will also let you see how long your skin bleeds color afterwards, since that can differ by person, too.
