**Spin-off** Christmas Card

Macksgirl, on November 5, 2014 at 2:21 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21

I am in the process of finding the perfect Christmas Card.

Would it be tacky if I used a picture from our wedding?

I am really going back and forth on this. I think it would be nice because everyone I am sending a card to, came to the wedding, and they would love a wedding picture. But then I don't know if that would look weird.

Let me know your thoughts on this!

Our wedding was: 08/09/2014 (for those of you on your phone Smiley smile )

Thanks Smiley smile

If your wedding was this year (can't see, I'm on my phone), I think that it would be very sweet!

I planned on doing this exact same thing with our Christmas card! I don't think it is tacky at all. Where are you looking at ordering yours? I need to get on this..

I don't think it'd be weird. Every year my aunt writes a letter bragging about all the accomplishments and cool stuff she and her family did over the year and sends it out in a Christmas card. That's over the top. But a wedding photo? No, that's cute and I'd love to get that from a friend or family member.

I don't think so...I just posted this but FH's cousin got married a year or two ago in October and for Christmas sent out Christmas cards with a couple of their professional photos on them and said something like "Merry Christmas from the newest Mr and Mrs Smith!"

I think its a sweet idea because people LOVE to see professional photos on the wedding day and not everyone is on or connected through social media and this is a good way to do it

I think this is a good idea! I'd love receiving one.

I really want to do this but I don't know if we will A) get any pro pics back in the week while we're gone for our HM (maybe she can do one? who knows) or b) that I'd be able to print them in time unless I did it at CVS or Walmart one hour printing...hmmm

Thanks ladies! Glad to know this won't be tacky.

AndixLyn- I thought she meant STD's. I didn't even read the thread. Just saw the title and assumed. Then it popped in my head that I needed to ask about my wedding picture Christmas Cards. LOL That what I get for not reading the thread.

    oopsie.

Macksgirl: I shit you not, I just opened my mailbox and received a catalog from TinyPrints showing their holiday cards. I also received a 30% off coupon and free shipping for myself and a friend. Do you want the second code? It is good through 12/31/14.

Macky, here's what I am doing! It has a little heart and The M________'s down in the lower right hand corner but I erased it to post here. I think wedding related Christmas cards are super cute!

I made mine using Photoshop and am ordering them through Vistaprint. It's hard to read because WW makes the photo so small, but it says:

May your holiday season be married and bright

We definitely won't have time this year (wedding is 12 days before Christmas), I'll even do it next year!

I think you definitely should. This is your last chance before kids to have your faces on everyone's fridge. We were married two months after you, but this is definitely the route we are going. I think it will say something super cheesy like "married and bright" or "we wish you a married Christmas"
