My aunt is my best friend. She's also my maid of honor. She's 4 years younger than me. She has really bad anxiety. I asked her If she would be willing to do a speech and she said absolutely not. I thought about asking my bridesmaid to do a speech instead. Is that frowned upon? Or should I just do away with speeches for the bridal party?

    Yep, any bridesmaid can do a speech! Even your mom can do one, doesn't just have to be dads.

    I went to a wedding where every single person in the wedding party gave a speech. (I wouldn't suggest this, it was kind of boring haha) But I'm trying to say anyone can do a speech! So whoever feels like they have something to say or maybe you have another friend who is very outgoing and personable that wants to talk in front of everyone.

    I think it's ok for someone other than your MOH to do a speech. usually it is the MOH but i think in this case, it should just be whomever is comfortable.

    Aw both options are fine. Whatever makes you comfortable!!! You can have another bridesmaid do it or you can ax it all together! You're not breaking a serious protocol.
