Speeches before Cake cutting or after?

Awet, on July 14, 2010 at 1:54 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

Good evening ladies...Smiley smile

If there are any late nighters like me, lend a hand. I am trying to write up the timeline for my reception night to have my vendors know what happens when. My question: Do the MOH, Bestman, Father bla bla speeches go before the cake or after the cake cutting? And how early before or how late after cake cutting...

Usually toasts are done as dinner is wrapping up, then whomever is the last one to speak says something cute/funny about "now let's get to the best part of the evening, the cake!" Or however they choose to say it.
