My first one was a handkerchief. My mom had given me her wedding dress to take a piece from to incorporate into her dress. My friend just said “Do you trust me? Bring me your mom’s dress.” At the rehearsal, she pulled my mom and me aside and gave me this gorgeous oversized handkerchief that was trimmed in lace and seed pearls from my mom’s train! I wrapped the handkerchief around my bouquet during the ceremony.

The second gift was a teddy bear. The fabric is from my wedding dress, the short train I had removed when I hemmed it. I had a beautiful row of buttons all down the back, which became the buttons on the bear’s chest. The ribbon is the last of the rolls used to decorate throughout the reception and on our cake. And the little sparkly barette was one of the buttons used to decorate the cake!

Okay, show me yours!
