Special Dates! What Are Yours?

Our only special day is the day we met 10/30/2014 and will be getting married 10/30/2022. We didn't traditionally get engaged with a big proposal, we decided to get engaged together and just ordered a ring and then announced to family/friends when we got the ring - but no special day is associated with first kiss, first I love you, or engagement.

My wedding day was 3/21 (many years ago!). My husband at the time was on the 3rd relief as a sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington and 21 is symbolic and the highest military honor one can bestow. Hence, 3/21 was our day and my husband won't ever forget it! 😁

I love this We celebrate the day we met May 26 2019 and we are getting married 4/23/2022 so we will celebrate both,

Most recently, my fiance and I celebrate what would have been our wedding day! We were originally supposed to get married July 2020, but because of the pandemic, we postponed to July 2022. However, we celebrated our original date last year, and we are planning to celebrate our "would-have-been" first anniversary this year (and probably for years to come as well).

We acknowledge when our first date was!

We currently have our "met-you-versary" & our "bubs-i-versary"

The first is the day we met & second is when we became "official" (we call each other "Bubs").

These may eventually fizzle out once we have our wedding anniversary & other milestones but those are our current big ones we have on countdown timers.

We recognise the day of our first date as our anniversary, rather than the first day we met, although they're only 5 days apart so I suppose it wouldn't make that big of a difference anyway.

I did notice and comment online about the 1 year anniversary of the day we got engaged, but we are unlikely to celebrate it as such, more likely just tell each other, 'oh, on this day x years ago, we got engaged!' type thing.

When our friend/officiant asked for significant dates in our relationship, I may or may not have reeled off everything from the day we met to the day of our first kiss to the day we started dating, and so on.

Now, some of this is documented on social media, some of it I just associate with other things, and some I know because of the time gap between the documented ones and that event.

But, yeah, I have a lot of those dates floating around in my head, and we got married on NONE of them, lol.

We met, got engaged, and got married in the same month (obviously different years!). Our first date and first I love you weren't in that month but since so many of our dates are in April that month holds special meaning for me.

My 1 year anniversary is coming up and I don't think I'll make it a milestone after this year lol. Met then went on a date 5 years later? Sounds like a good 'met the one' story to me lol.

I love that! An entire special month chronicling your love story, I love it lol.

This past February we recognized out 1 year anniversary of moving in together. Not sure if we will continue to do it moving forward, but it was certainly a big deal this year since we moved in RIGHT before the entire world shut down. If we weren't ready for marriage before, we for sure are ready for it after spending a tragic and anxiety ridden year being mostly isolated together - coming out the other side now and still going strong

Our dating anniversary date is now our wedding date 12/08, 12/18 is when we conceived our daughter, January we said "I love you" for the first time and found out we were having a baby. 3/8 is my FH and son's bday so that is special for us because it bonded them. Our daughter was born on a day involving both our lucky numbers 9/5/18( his 815, mine is 3, nine is a multiple of 3) so we look at her birthday as extra special since she is our miracle baby. 10/26 is the day he proposed.
