Sparkler Size

Marie, on June 30, 2016 at 3:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hi All,

My wedding venue has given me the okay for a sparklers exit. I have 80 guest max for the wedding and the exit walkway is definitely a safe width for the bride and groom and brick (so no mini grass fires).... what length of sparklers is best? Ive seen forums say 20" but some others say that 36" is better if you want good photos since they stay lit faster and you dont have to buy double. Does anyone have any experienced advice for this?

Thanks Smiley smile

I've heard to do 36". My sister used 20" for her wedding and her pictures didn't turn out as good because they were going out and people were trying to light a new one. Although it wasn't the most organized wedding, so this may be why it didn't work for her.

I'm also doing a sparkler exit. I'm leaning towards the 36 for all the given reasons.

Depends on how big your walkway is. 36" is a yardstick. I'm using 20" (they burn for 2.5 min) because we only have 100 people and our exit is the size of a sidewalk. A yardstick size sparkler would catch my hair on fire.

Be extremely careful with sparklers, please! My cousin's wife's wedding gown caught fire. Just a little breeze, just a little free spark.....
