Sparkler Alternatives

Kimberly, on January 13, 2014 at 8:28 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

So I'm pretty sure our venue isn't going to allow sparklers (plus we might be doing everything during the day), so I'm looking for alternative ideas that will make really cool photos. What do you all think?

These wedding wands make for great pictures! I think you can also DIY, I've seen some tutorials on Pinterest

I'm on the app so I can't post a pic but my back to sparklers was a petal toss. A scoop of rose petals I a paper cone and tossed at the exit. It makes for beautiful pictures. I may still do this for the recessional and then sparklers for the grande exit.

Ribbon wands! I just made a little over 200 of them. REALLY easy to do. I just recommend at least 3 ribbons per wand. Anything less looks a little flimsy.

Ribbon wands, but with silver or gold metallic foil will look like sparklers in pics.

This is the Etsy shop I ordered my supplies from. I checked Michaels, JoAnn's and Amazon. Out of all of them, this shop provided all the necessary material for the cheapest amount. She's from MA and I'm so happy with my order.

We're doing the ribbon wands- bought all of the supplies for 140 of them for $40 and mom is making them all. We added little bells on top so they also make noise.
