I've been looking into shapewear options so that I can order my shapewear before doing alterations. I got my dress for a great price ($99 sale at David's!) so I'm willing to splurge (a little bit) on a good piece of shapewear. I want it to be high waisted (right under bra) and have shorts about mid-thigh. I also pee a lot, so bonus points for any that make bathroom breaks easier! Honeylove Has Been My Favorite So Far, But Sadly It Doens't Come With An Opening For The Restroom. Spanx And Shapermint Are Good Too But They Tend To Run Really Small . Out Of The Two Id Prefer Spanx.

Just so you know, I did a little more online snooping after I read Trisha's comment above and some Honeylove models do have easy bathroom access - not sure if you were interested in that but it's good to know!

I actually just bought shapermint the other day to wear under regular dresses. It was extremely comfortable, I wore it to my bridal shower. It stayed in place. That being said I'm not sure if I need to size down or something but it didn't "suck" me in like I kind of wanted it to. Did it make me feel comfortable yes, did I feel more confident yes. But I'm not sure it was exactly what I had in mind. I got a good deal on it though!

I had the same experience, bought some Shapermint items that were very comfortable and smoothed me out a bit, but didn’t really suck in.

Yeah exactly! I'm happy I'm not the only one with the experience. What I liked about the shapermint was the holding thing on the top. That was very comfortable for me too!

Shapermint is far superior to honey love. Although my honey love did come with an opening to use the restroom without having to pull the whole thing down which is a plus.
