I'm in Bakersfield that is just a tad north of where you are asking but we found a fantastic venue here with a low deposit!

That may be tricky. I'm all the way up in Fresno and even our deposit was $1,000.

@FuturemrsG we were so close to booking junior league! Your wedding will be gorgeous. We needed a bigger garden so we chose bakersfield museum of art. Deposit was $750

Sure. Rent a woman's club. There's one in Arcadia or La Crescenta.

Try the Knotted Apron in Whittier. Our deposit was $200.00 and the total venue price was around $1,100. However it is a small-ish venue, and comfortably fits a party of about 70 people.

But why is it so important about the deposit being low? Don't you think the venue cost total is more important??

I am getting married in Pasadena... It's expensive and the OC is even more expensive!

OP how much are you looking to spend on food/drinks/venue? I know of a ton of places but it really depends on your budget.

Budget is 10-12 thousand. And the deposit being low is important because the fiancée and I would like the majority of the savings we have to go towards purchasing a headstone for my son who passed away a few years ago. I'll be able to better make payments than come up with 2-4 thousand for a deposit

Wedgewood Banquet and Wedding has all inclusive packages but the first deposit is 25% of the total bill.

Hadiya, I am sorry for your loss.

Is the 10,000 -12,000 your total budget or just the budget for venue and food and drinks?

Thank you, I appreciate your condolences. That is the budget for venue food and drinks.
