Our original plan was a destination wedding but then my FMIL graciously offered to let us throw our reception in a local fire hall. It's already set up for weddings and events and looks great but I kind of want to do something like this for the ceiling. Me and my FH are very into this idea and we think it will really look great. I'm very open to DIYing this if anyone knows how exactly do it or has experience. I'm looking to do something like looks like this ceiling. (taken from a blog) just a rough idea of what I'm looking for. Also open to hiring a professional if anyone has info on that.

Hey Ashley!! This ceiling drapery looks really great, and you’re right! It will look amazing in your venue, especially with the hanging lights!
If you are interested in DIYing this or at least giving it a try, I would suggest looking up some tutorials on YouTube. You will be able to see exactly how difficult it will be and also see exactly what materials you would need to achieve the look you are after. Have you done any DIY or craft projects like this before?
If, after your research, you decide that you would prefer to hire a professional, you can look into New Jersey Wedding Rentals for vendors that will supply and install drapery like this!

Me and my FH's family are very good at DIY stuff so I think I might be manageable plus my FMIL has a relationship with the people who own the hall so it might be doable. Thanks Sinéad! I'll look into the vendors too.

Oh that's great!! If you are looking for rolls of tulle to DIY it, check out local fabric stores but don't forget to compare the price to Amazon! You might be able to get a great deal there!
