Songs to play as guests are arriving

Rachel, on July 23, 2019 at 11:21 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
I'm starting to figure out all the songs for the wedding, but I'm having a problem coming up with this playlist? It's a Rustic Elegant wedding, but open to everything. How long should the playlist be?

Usually the prelude (the music before the thing begins) is 20-30 minutes of music. However, you can always have it longer and just start it sooner.

I used about 20-30 minutes of music too. You could also just loop the music aha and have it replay especially if it's just instrumental

I'm using Apple Music and just plugging in my phone for the ceremony. I'll have a friend play the music for me! We're using the Vitamin String Quartet artist. They play instrumental covers of modern songs, plus the music will all go together because it's the same band playing all of it! My playlist is 30 minutes

I've been to 3 weddings with no music at all before the ceremony. I don't think it's necessary as people mingle in, talk to other people, take their seats, and when the music starts signifies things are getting rolling.

We're asking our DJ to help us find instrumentals of Broadway songs. We're both in theatre, so this will be "us", as well as fun for our guests and pretty.
