Song/Dance Order

We are coming right into the reception and doing our first dance. Then I think we are going to do the father daughter dance and the mother son dance. Then dinner and then party the rest of the night. I would hate having to keep kicking people off the dance floor to watch my dad and I dance because really it is for us. We aren't doing the dollar dance either because I am not about asking my quests for any money. The only break we would have the rest of the night is for cake and maybe the bouquet toss (if people care about the toss)

I *think* we're doing dinner, first dance as a couple, father/daughter, mother/son, then open dancing.

First dance: Ingrid Michelson "The Way I Am"

Father/Daughter: Heartland "I Loved Her First"

Mothers/Son: George Harrison "My Sweet Lord"

Yeah... our music is sort of all over the place.

We are still working out logistics on dancing order as well so thank you for suggestions. It definitely makes sense to do first dance right after introductions.

Our first dance is: From the Ground up

father/daughter: I have no idea! My dad picked it out and is keeping it a secret

Mother/Son: Simple Man (and he is going around and dancing with his grandmas during this too)

We are going right into our first dance after the introductions (song still TBD but the most recent contender is Amazed by Lonestar). I will dance with my mom after her speech (I don't have a dad, and we're dancing to Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood). Directly after, FH will dance with FMIL and potentially F step MIL. We have like 15 possible songs for that. FH is having difficulty being decisive on song choices lol.

We did the 1st dance after the introductions and then parent dances an hour into dinner.

We did the introduction and went right into our first dance. Then we went into dinner and cut the cake. After that we did step father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, father/daughter dance.
