Song vs. Reading during ceremony

Marie, on June 1, 2020 at 10:15 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5

My fiance and I decided to have our 15 year old niece sing a song during our ceremony instead of doing a reading. She loves to perform and is so excited. Anyone have any ideas for what song she should sing? I'd like it to be non-religious and on the shorter side.

Thanks!

That is such a cute idea. maybe you can ask her for some suggestions on what she would like to sing?

You can also work it so the music of a certain song fades out after a certain part if you pick a song that's on the longer side!

That's so beautiful! Maybe pick your favorite love song? As Elizabeth said, she can always just sing part of it :-)

Wanted to give everyone an update... I picked out 3 songs that I loved to let her choose from Smiley smile

    - Songbird: Fleetwood Mac

    - Come Away With Me: Norah Jones

    - Can't Help Falling in Love: Elvis

She is practicing all of them and will choose.
