Angie , on May 19, 2018 at 11:56 PM Posted in Planning 0 16
I can’t find a song to walk down the aisle to and a song to walk out to after we are married.
our first dance song is perfect by Ed Sheeran.

I'll probably just do the traditional stuff. Wedding March or something like that.

The songs I am thinking about walking down to are
la vie en rose by Daniela Andrade because it is about “living life with rose colored glasses” and my wedding colors are white, pink, with hints of burgundy plus the first show FH and I watched together/our get happy show is How I met Your Mother
I won’t give up by Jason mraz. It’s my parents song and his parents “person” (they met at a concert)
or Tenerife sea by ed sheeran because we cry every time we hear it.
or the throne room song from Star Wars because I joked that I was gonna walk down to the imperial march but FH said absolutely not

I know I have reasons for all my songs but, to be honest you don’t need one! If there’s a song that speaks to you or that you just really love go for it! To walk up the aisle we are doing “come to Me” by the GooGoo Dolls. It’s our song

My best friend came down to Piano Guys A Thousand Years. Its beautiful. https://youtu.be/QgaTQ5-XfMM
I personally have always love Jurassic Park growing up. So I'm kinda surprising my guest by walking to the Piano Guys version of the Jurassic Park theme. Its actually really pretty. I sometimes play it and close my eyes imagining our wedding day and get emotional.

Listen to some stuff by Sleeping At Last. Their version of I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) is soooo beautiful.

I'm suck a sucker for slow piano stuff that makes me cry.
I used to watch the show Once Upon a Time and theres a Snow White Prince Charming theme that a guy does a cover on on youtube I'm considering for when my bridal party walks in. https://youtu.be/nTLCSzGu268

I'm sticking to Canon in D by Pachelbel for me to walk down the aisle. With FH help, I decided on the instrumental version of Crazy in Love for our recessional.

Listen to Haley Reinhart - can’t help falling in love with you. We had that song for the bridal party processional and so many of my guests asked me who sang that cover to Elvis original because they loved it so much! I walked down the aisle to the instrumental piano version of Ed Sheeran - perfect

I like the Wedding March. If we go with the organ, that's what I want to us as our recessional song.

For us it depends on what instrument is being used. It makes a difference.

If we go with their organ then we will go traditional. Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring for the bridal party, Canon D in Major for me and Wedding March for recessional.

If we hire a string quartet or harp then we will go with Somewhere Over the Rainbow (I.Z. version) for the bridal party and Cant Help Falling in Love (Elvis) for my entrance. Or maybe use the Elvis song for the bridal party and use Marry Me (Train) for my entrance. For recessional maybe I'm Yours by Jason Marz (upbeat) or All of me by John Legend (upbeat). Maybe we will have some fun and go with Shape of You.

We still have to decide what songs to use if we decide to use their guitarists.

Traditional wedding music is always a beautiful options, but instrumental versions of your favorite song can make for an equally beautiful and meaningful wedding march. Best of luck!

I have a violinist for my outdoor ceremony and I I'm walking down to Perfect Ed Sheeran. He of course don't know and it would probably be such a shocker and a tear jerker because he love that song.

I would suggest a tradition wedding song or a lovely instrumental to a song that you two love. 😊

We're walking down the aisle to "Better Place" by Rachel Platten and leaving the ceremony to "Come to Me" by the Goo Goo Dolls...
