Song Immediately Following First Dance for Guests to Come and Join Us Dancing?

I don't have a song suggestion but I do suggest "salting" the dance floor- make sure you have a few people/couples who know in advance that you want to get people dancing and that they'll come up and help get things started. We didn't want the attention on just us for the whole 3+ minutes of our song, so we had the wedding party come up halfway through and finish the dance with us. Worked out great and I saw other couples dance too, once they saw that it wasn't just us.

We've been to a few weddings where the DJ mixed an upbeat song right into the end of the first dance, and the wedding party was on their feet grabbing people out of their chairs to go dance. FH says it's called a "snowball"? Maybe it's the same thing as "salting"? I don't know dance lingo! But it worked at those weddings really well. Of course the wedding party knew they were grabbing people like us, who really wanted to be up dancing.

As far as songs.......what's your first dance song? Do you guys have any favorite artists?

We have three dancers that will be glad that they are the salt of our wedding!!! One of my cousins is PR and she is a firework on the floor!!! She loves to dance and actually would love to do that as a job!!! Dance motivator or whatver she just loves it so much!!!
