Song for your parents?

My dad sent me some songs a while back and asked if there was a parent of the bride dance and if so he'd like "Still the One" for he and my mom. We are already doing first dance, father/daughter and mother/son dances. FH's mom remarried about ten years ago and his dad is not coming, but his step dad is. I feel weird having a song for just my parents, but it's also cute that my dad suggested it. Any thoughts/ideas? Also I'm worried people will get bored with all of those in a row. I thought I could have the DJ announce a song dedication when the dance floor is open so it's not so on the spot and pointing to the fact that my parents have been married forever and FH's mom remarried a couple times. Ideas??

    I like your idea of just having the DJ dedicate the song to your parents while the dance floor is open, and anyone who wants to also dance to it can!

    We are doing something...similar?

    Basically, we think it would be nice to play both of our parents' wedding songs. My parents have been together 35+ years, and his mom is remarried but has been for almost 20 years. Since only a few slow songs happen during a wedding, those two songs will be some of them, with the DJ making a quick announcement of the dedication of each song. But they'll be spread out throughout the night and while the dance floor is open.

    FH's mom is a widow, and my parents aren't together. We'll dance with our moms. I'm partial to Mom Song by Meghan Trainor. It's not terribly sappy but is still loving. I may snipe some suggestions for an "all the married couples" dance if there's a lot of suggestions.

    My mom wanted this too but we vetoed it. There was already too many dances and things to spotlight on. The dedication is a good idea.
