Song for the Father/Daughter Dance

We danced to "When You Need Me" by Bruce Springsteen. Mainly because my dad is a huge Springsteen fan.

We danced to my girl by The Temptations!

Mines a toss up between my little girl by Tim McGraw or I loved her first.

I chose "the girl you think I am" by Carrie underwood! I love it and am moved to rear every time I listen to it.

I'm actually dancing with my papa, since my dad is not in the picture. We are dancing to "what a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong

We decided to do the father/daughter mother/son dance at the same time (I wanted to skip it but here we are), so we picked What a Wonderful World and our jazz trio will play it (no lyrics).

Dad and I are doing my little girl by Tim McGraw . Now I have two weeks to figure out how to not tear up every time I hear it!

Both my sisters used Butterfly Kisses. They want me to keep up with the tradition but I kinda want to use Edleweiss from the Sound of Music because he used to play it on my music box after he tucked me in at night as a little girl.

My dad and I threw songs back and forth and settled on "you're going to miss this" by trace adkins

We're dancing to "just fishing" by trace adkins. but my mom was hoping for my little girl by tim McGraw.

My dad and I have always loved the song Brown Eyed Girl and I was always his brown eyed girl....so I am having my cousin do a cover to a slower version on acoustic guitar....I am sure it will make my dad cry and then I will be a mess....Still trying to mentally prepare lol.

Little Miss Magic by Jimmy Buffett. My family are all big parrot heads though haha

This was a tough one for us. It took awhile to decide. I'm dancing with my Dad to Pharrell's Happy! He wanted something upbeat and fun.

My FMIL also chose "My Wish" specifically the 10th anniversary version.

Ugh, the father daughter dance song selection has been really difficult for me & my dad. I asked my dad to pick, but he can't find any that feel "right" and then shoots down all the songs that I run past him.

He's a fan of country music and we finally just found one we both agree on! Not too mushy, creepy, long, etc. lol. We are dancing to Dance with my Daughter by Jason Blaine

My dad picked Louie Armstrong what a wonderful world. I didn't help him at all so makes it that much more special. I wanted it to be totally his choice.

I chose 'Memories' by Elvis Presley. My dad is older and a huge Elvis fan so it was perfect.

Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman and You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban are some of my favorites.
