Song as u walk down the isle

Virginia, on July 6, 2019 at 11:14 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 13
I want to play a song while I walk down the isle but I’d literally be down the isle in 30 seconds. How do I get more out of the song? What is everyone’s doing?

Because I also have a shortish aisle I'm having only one song play for everyone to walk down to instead of 3 different for parents, bridal party, and myself.

You could just play it for the entire processional. You could also start the song and wait 10 seconds or so before you begin to walk.

If it's just you, no bridal party or parents walking or anything then you'll either need to walk slow or fade the music out.

Def don’t wanna just fade out....not sure we’d even get to the refrain. This is gonna be tricky.

Do you have family that needs to walk down? The officiant? Some venues do not have a side entrance.

They’ll already be seated. We are not doing traditional isle walks. 2nd wedding for both of us and very low key ceremony. No bridal party....just our 3 sons.

Have the DJ or musician start playing, wait a bit before you start your walk, try and walk a bit slower (if you can) then let the music play a bit before starting your ceremony. That's the best I got...

I think it's ok if you played whatever song you wanted and it stopped when you get situated at the aisle. For me I played Tenerife sea by Ed Sheeran and yes it was only like 30 seconds but it's a song I wanted to play and so our AV person just stopped it when I got to the front and we started ceremony

I’m going to be as dramatic as possible on my day ... my song is maybe 2 1/2 minutes and I plan to stand and wait for 30 seconds and then walk slowly and then hold hands with my FH during that last 30sec ... I’ve practiced this at my venue and it works out perfectly.

We're starting my song for then the flower girl and ring bearers come down the aisle.
