I know I'm still following that tradition. Not sure if others are.

For an open-toed shoe, I would tape the coin to the sole on the inside.

Some couples do still participate in this tradition. Most people who do participate in it skip the sixpence in your shoe, but you could always tape it.

I did the something borrowed, something blue, thing - it was fun (and for me relatively easy). My penny I taped to the inside of my sandal with painter's tape lol

I’m definitely following this tradition, but will probably skip the sixpence.

My something Blue was my 92 yo Granny’s Walker.

Her Evening 👛 was old and borrowed.

    My 👟👟were new.

I did this, for the penny in my shoe I taped it to the sole inside as mentioned above. I wore flat sandals for the ceremony only so just left it taped when I changed, if you plan to wear your shoes all day I might move the coin to a safe place after the ceremony so the tape doesn’t come unstuck.

I plan on not wearing shoes or just wearing sandals for the reception because I have feet problems and by the end of the ceremony my feet will be killing me
