Something special for fiancé?

Emily, on August 22, 2019 at 6:08 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 5
So this isn’t exactly “wedding” related but I’m stuck on what to do for my fiancé’s birthday and I figured y’all would be the ones to ask!

Some background: his birthday is September 10th, he’s super selfless, kind, warm-hearted and gives me absolutely no ideas about what he wants. The usual gifts catered toward what he likes is hard because he’s an Amazon junkie and just orders what he wants before I even get a chance haha. In the past we’ve always celebrated his birthday at an adult summer camp but that’s a no-go this year.

So, lovely ladies, I would love to hear what you’ve done in the past. Gifts, activities, anything does! Thanks in advance!

The things that my fiancé liked best in the past were basketball tickets, and a “five senses” gift where I got him one thing for each sense (something to look at, listen to, taste, touch, smell)

I've definitely done events as gifts before - concerts, soccer games, etc. I try to find my FH things related to things he likes, but things he would never know existed. Years ago I was looking into things related to favorite books and ended up ordering a nice hardback copy that was personalized by the author. Another year I got us tickets when the author was touring through the area. I've gotten him newfangled camera accessories, board games, watercolor paintings with his favorite quotes, assortments of energy gels to test out when he was into running, gift certificates at the nice massage place, etc. I do a lot of looking at gift guides and googling things like "gifts for runners" or "gifts for mathematicians" haha

In Texas, they have treehouses that you can rent! (They're not your run of the mill children's treehouses). On the grounds, they also have ziplining! You could look into a nice weekend getaway for the two of you?

We usually do events (baseball or football game, concert, comedy show) or a weekend/night away either to the coast or to a casino.

I'm having my friends tattoo artist do a drawing of FH truck that he inherited from his grandfather. He is obsessed with this truck and I think he will really love it.
