Something other than a flower girl...

Chelsea, on July 29, 2019 at 5:03 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
Hello!

So my FH's only niece will be 12 by the time of our wedding and I wanted to find a way to incorporate her into our wedding. We already have a younger flower girl for the ceremony and we don't think that she would enjoy being a Jr. Bridesmaid (she is very shy). Is there anything else we could do to make her a part of our special day?

Thanks!

She may actually like being a flower girl, have you asked her?

No we haven't.. I guess we probably should! The other flower girl will be 4 years old, so with her being older we weren't sure if she would want to do it. We can ask and get her opinion.

She could always walk with the kids to make sure they make it down the aisle. One o four ring bears is older and that's what he's helping me with too.

Maybe she would enjoy being your "personal attendant" for the day? Like someone who helps you get ready, can get things for you, interact with the other BMs, in case there is anything that is needed, communicate messages between you and the BMs and FH and the GMs. It can be whatever you want it to be. The point is it makes her kind of special for the day, and feeling important.

If you have a train she could help with laying it out behind you at the alter or where ever you have your ceremony.

I mean the only difference between flower girl and JR BM is age. If she is to shy to be flower girk would she be to shy to be a jr bridesmaid?

Junior Bridesmaid or have her help with the guestbook and ask people to sign in?
