Something Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue

Elizabeth, on June 28, 2019 at 1:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
What is your something old, new, borrowed, and blue? My dress and veil are "new," headpiece is "old," a handkerchief is "blue," and jewelry will likely be "borrowed" unless I make a change. How about you?

Old: pieces of my grandmother's wedding dress that my mom has made my garter out of and the wrap for my bouquet. My FMIL also gave me a handheld mirror and brush set that was given to her on her wedding day, I will have it in the getting ready room for pictures

    New: Dress, veil, ring

Borrowed: My mom bought earring that match my dress. She is letting me use them.

Blue: My shoes are Blue by Betsey Johnson, and my garter has a blue ribbon.

My engagement ring will be my "old" since it was his grandmothers' - alongside my "new" wedding band. I have a pair of earrings my mom gave me for my "something borrowed" and I think I'll be painting my toenails "blue" if that counts? Smiley smile

Something old - My bouquet is wrapped in FH’s deceased mother’s wedding dress fabric. We had to cover it though because it kept fraying. It’s the thought that it’s under the gold ribbon that makes me happy. FH’s boutonnière is wrapped in it too, but his held up so it can be seen Smiley smile

Something new - my jewelry and hair piece

Something borrowed - our cake cutting set from FH’s brother and SIL.

Something blue - the bottom of my wedding shoes Smiley smile they’re Tieks and always have the trademark blue sole!
