Something “extra”

We are doing 3 inch marquee letters of our initials and a big heart. Definitely not necessary but fun & personal!

We're having a cigar roller 🤷🏽‍♀️. I think it's pretty common in the area though, not a big deal.

Looking to hire a string quartet for ceremony music and cocktail hour. I’d like to do something else but I’m not sure what else.

We've hired Mariachis for ceremony music and to perform before the reception. Definitely going to set the festive and fun vibes!

Our friends are big partyers, so after a nice dinner, out will come the beer pong tables and corn hole boards lol. (Backyard wedding)

We're having a "fire and ice" dessert station - flaming donuts (exactly what it sounds like, they coat them in rum and set them on fire) and nitrogen ice cream (flash-freezing with nitrogen).

We're having a pretzel wall as our late night snack. It's this cute acrylic wall that has pegs on it to hold the soft pretzels and then we'll have beer cheese and mustard as dips. It's honestly one of the things I'm most excited for!

Our venue does custom ice sculptures for a couple hundred extra and it can be an ice luge for the signature cocktails (into glasses obviously not the frat party ice luge where people put their mouths on it lol), so we're doing that!

Candy buffet table - that was so unnecessary in the end cus i had i so much leftover

We purchased & constructed a paper moon (I.e. photo booth)

We did his and hers signature cocktail drink fountains during cocktail hour.

Flashmob! The girls on my high school dance team and I are performing at the reception. It's going to be a surprise!

Hot cocoa bar, lawn games outside for those that don't want to dance.

When we were going to have our reception, we were going to have a blacksmith demonstration, a couple of burros with bottled beers walking around for guests, a cigar bar, and a s’mores bar. All canceled at this point, but maybe they’ll make a comeback for a bow renewal in our future.

We are having frozen margarita machines to go with our taco bar.
Also rented a 25 person party bus for our afterparty!

Ok some of these things sound INCREDIBLE! I want to go to all of these weddings! Thinking about it, most of the 'extra' things we're doing aren't to wow our guests - we definitely spent more on things like our wedding rings and shoes than we needed to, but that's because they're things that we will wear and use again.

I guess it didn't cost money, but we're having our band change the lyrics to our entrance song to be relevant to us as the way to introduce us, which should be funny and cool!
