Something blue

Julee, on July 17, 2021 at 9:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Blue shoes...do they distract you from the dress and bride or do you think they are a good addition to your wedding day attire? I don’t know if I feel that in my dress people would look at my shoes instead and take away from the dress. The blue shoes I’m getting are attached in the picture so I feel that maybe against an ivory dress the sapphire blue will steal the show? Thoughts and thank you all in advance!Something blue 1

I have a lighter blue shoe and to be honest, I doubt anyone will ever see them. They will look cute in the detail shots but other than that, they will be invisible 🤷🏼‍♀️

Depending on the style of your dress, the front toe portion might be visible. But I wouldn’t say they’ll “steal the show“.

Unless the dress is short, no one will see them. Guests who do see them will be in one of two camps: 1) they catch a glimpse and don’t register anything or 2) they think it’s awesome you are being unique.

They look beautiful. No one will be upset by them and those who are aren’t worth your time.

I agree with this! And for what’s is worth, my friend wore beautiful blue shoes for her wedding too, and I only knew because she told me- no one paid attention or saw her shoes Smiley smile

I'm wearing light blue shoes! I don't expect they'll be visible from under the dress, but if they are, I would love that. If you want them, go for it. Lots of brides do this, so one will think it's weird.

I’m wearing Tieks Blue ballet flats! While they may not seen (i hope they peep out!) at least I know they are under there! I don’t think the shoes will ever steal the show.

I love a beautiful blue shoe! Mine peeked out from under the dress occasionally when I walked, but I definitely don’t think they distracted from or overshadowed everything else Something blue 2

I love those ! I think it would be a nice little pop of color - you would only see it when walking or posing for pictures if you wanted.. depending on how long your dress is. I honestly love it !

My friend wore blue shoes, couldn't see them except in the detail shots, and as others said, if people do catch a glimpse of them, they'll be like, oh, that's her something blue.

I chose a pair of Royal Blue kitten heels for my "something blue". I can also wear them with a few dresses I have, so they're not just "wedding shoes". And the best part? No achy feet from wearing heels all night!
