Someone wants to gift us a Kitchenaid mixer

I LOVE my kitchen aid mixer. If for nothing else, I love that it can shred meat in a matter of seconds.....no more doing it by hand for me! Not sure the model I have though.

I'm not sure that any of them come with the ice cream attachment, but you can definitely add one! This is the mixer that I bought before I moved away from home. I left it there because it's rather large and I primarily used it for family events, which all happen at my parent's anyway. We registered for the mini because we live in a -1,000 square foot condo and simply don't have the space for the full size one. You can use it for tons of things besides baking; making mashed potatoes, pizza crusts, fresh pasta, shredding meats, etc.

We have the regular kitchen aid mixer (didn't come with an ice cream attachment) We love it! I don't use it for baking because I have a hand mixer, but we do use it to make homemade sausage and pizza dough. We have used it for other things too but I cant think of them right now lol.

Ohhhh I didn't think about meat. I associate the mixer with baking lol. Hopefully I can find use for it.

Mashed potatoes!!! Such a good idea. I was thinking the mini too mainly for space savings.

Pasta, doughs, all kinds of meat handling. I wish someone would buy mine off my registry but it doesn't look like it'll happen. 🤷

There are different attachments that are additional. You have the pasta maker, spiralizer, ice cream maker. It's definitely not just for baking. You can find so many good uses for it.

I LOVE my Kitchen Aid stand mixer!!! I've had it for more than 25 years now, and it still works like it's brand new!!!

However, it doesn't come with any of the attachments. It comes with the three kinds of mixers (paddle, whisk and dough hook). But all of the accessories are sold separately. I just got a 6-piece pasta cutter attachment, and I'm hoping to get the ice cream maker for a shower/wedding present.

It is possible that some retail store is offering a deal for the mixer with the ice cream attachment for one price. Besides for baking, I use mine for making pasta, bread dough, homemade whipped cream, quiche. Really, it's so versatile, it can be used to make so many things.

I absolutely love my kitchen aid mixer and use it all the time. It makes life so much easier making bread because I only had a hand mixer before and had to knead by hand. I’m not aware of attachments being sold with it, but it could be a deal through a specific retailer. Most of the attachments are pretty pricey, in addition to the cost of the mixer itself. I’m hoping to get the pasta attachment and some other accessories, but I’ve read lots of negative reviews on the ice cream maker having issues (like the seal breaking and blue goo coming out of it for a lot of customers, and it dying after just a couple uses) so I didn’t register for it. I also can’t imagine actually making ice cream that often, not like fresh pasta!

I LOVE my KitchenAid stand mixer. I have the Pro 600 series and use it constantly. I do love to bake, so that's where it gets the most use. You can use it for breads, pizza dough (made some this weekend), cookies, cakes, whipped cream, tons of stuff. You can buy lots of attachments (ice cream maker, meat grinder, pasta sheeter, veggie spiralizer). If you think you might use it, they last forever. Mine is 5 years old, I think, and still works just as well as when I first got it. If you don't plan to use it for heavy duty baking, I would recommend the tilt head style over the bowl lift.

I would definitely let them, as others have said above! And I just added the ice cream maker attachment to my registry because I didn't know that was a thing until now!

I have the 5.5 qt stand mixer, and I love it! They come is such great colors. I haven’t seen one that comes with the ice cream attachment, but they do make an attachment! I would do some research on size, and what attachments you want. I think most work with the 5.5 qt tilt head (what I have)

Oh my god get one .my husband and I got one as a gift for our wedding and it comes with a pasta maker attachments.. and we love it 🥰

I love my kitchenaid mixer and the attachments!! I'm not a Baker either but I love to cook. Pasta, pizza dough, bread, the ice cream maker is awesome, shredding meat, and the slicer/peeler is super handy especially during the holidays! It is one of 2 of my favorite kitchen gadgets.

I have one (not with an ice cream maker though). It is great for heavy duty baking but there are tons of attachments you can get for it, including a pasta roller, a spiralizer, a veggie peeler, dough hooks for bread, meat grinders, grain mill, food processor, and more! I sound like a spokeswoman for Kitchenaid. I swear they didn't pay me to say that. I just love my mixer.

I am looking forward to making real mashed potatoes with mine. I have been buying boxed potato flakes for the past 2+ years lol. I do like to bake too. You can make tons of stuff though. Pizza dough. I hadn't thought of shredding meat either! The ice cream attachment I am pretty sure is a separate cost though. The standard 4.5 or 5 qt I think is what they are are more than fine! No need for the fancier pro series. I already know my mom is getting mine because I wanted the limited edition blue color and it was on sale awhile ago, and she said not to put one on the registry!
