Soldering Wedding and Engagement ring

Hello ladies!
Question! I have a size 7.5 engagement ring. It’s a bit big now. I would say I’m probably a 7-71/4 probably. So here’s my dilemma, I haven’t gotten my wedding band yet, but wondering if I should get a 7.5 as well because I plan on soldering them together. How much size would I lose once they are soldered together? Also do you recommend I get a size 7.5 in the wedding band so they are the same or a smaller size? Thank you!! From what I gather it would be a quarter or a half size - but it's not so much 'losing' size when you solder them together, as much as the fact that the two bands were wider and therefore less flexible, requiring more space to manoeuvre in and out, so what size to choose will also depend on how wide both bands end up being when soldered together. The wider the two end up being, the larger they'd need to be to fit comfortably.

You can always see what is comfortable for you by trying various rings and trying to take your engagement ring and the try-on ring off at the same time, and see how easy you find it.

The other thing you can do is just seeing how comfortably two rings sit together on your finger. Usually the outer-most ring tends to be a little bit larger, because it is sitting closer towards the knuckle, where there's a bit more width to the finger.
