Sola Wood Flowers

Just wondering if anyone has used Sola's flowers and how you feel about them? I'm planning on buying them and dying them myself. I just dont know what to expect.

I'm using them for my bouquets. My advice would be to start sooner than later and to buy more than what you think you will need so you can have some "practice" flowers.

Other things I've learned through this process...use plenty of paint in your mixture...don't dye more than 2 times or your flowers will become really fragile...and don't obsess too much over whether they are perfect but you won't notice once they are assembled.

Good luck! It's a fun project and I'm in the final stages (assembling currently). Everyone who has seen them loves how unique they are!

I bought my bouquets premade because I was so scared to do them myself. But they came out beautifully!
I then decided to try doing some to use for our wedding cake and it definitely takes practice. I ended up hand painting most of them rather than dyeing them. The ones on the left paper towel are the ones I dip dyed.

I love my sola flowers! They are very delicate, so you definitely need to handle them with care. Dying them is super easy, too, although I agree with Maria to get more than you need so you have some practice ones to get the hang of it. I haven't put my bouquets together yet, but as far as the flowers themselves, I am super happy with them.

I would love to use them for table decorations and my bouquet so I can keep it forever! Thanks for the tips! Did you use the dye from Sola? Or did you buy paint from a craft store?

I love the way the hand painted ones turned out! I might do some like that for my bouquet as I think all white would be a bit too much!

I just used the cheap acrylic paint from the craft store! I also mixed paints when I couldn't get the shade I wanted so don't be afraid to play around. I might share a small DIY with how I did mine (once I'm all done) if that would be helpful.
