I posted this on Instagram.

My FH was so anxious to post after proposing that I snapped a couple of quick shots of my ring and he was drafting his post as I was finishing up calling all of my VIPs. I ended up rushing to post it and didn’t take a moment to actually look at the picture until later. Turns out I took the WORST pic of my ring (and my nails were jankey because I had no idea it was coming lol). I actually had a couple of people comment in person that my ring is so much better than my post made it look. Oh well.....I don’t really care what people think, I know my ring is amazing.

But....since you asked and it already sounds like you aren’t rushing it I would recommend doing a cute announcement like Monique or Peggy posted

We used our furbaby to help announce our engagement. He did a great job!

I posted these 3 pictures saying "Well its official. In a few days we make a year. And next year we will make forever. Looks like Facebook was excited 😂"

I posted a picture that speaks for itself. I only told my closest friends and family members so it was important for us to announce it on social media afterwards.

We told our families and close friends first, then made a social media announcement. She made hers a life event with some pictures and I posted a cute selfie of us with our rings showing and another with a closeup of my ring. You could take a selfie or have someone take a picture of you both and use that

We posted these pictures as a life event on Facebook and then I posted the same ones with a caption on Instagram at pretty much the same time! Most notifications I have ever gotten hahaha

No picture, but my FH and I have this ongoing joke of posting any relationship stuff on social media on April Fools Day (“in a relationship”). When we announced our engagement we posted a video that looked like an engagement video but *spoilers* was just a fake Taco Bell commercial in disguise xD

We got engaged on Halloween 🎃 so I posted this and made a life event

My Fiancé secretly captured his proposal to me on video on the beach during the sunset on one of our favorite spots in Hampton Beach, NH. We posted it to our social media accounts for all our friends and family to see, as many are out of state! It got many reactions and so many people commented to me how much they kept watching it!
