So our "aisle" is gravel....shoe suggestions?

Mrs Gray, on April 1, 2014 at 11:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

The "aisle" that myself and BM's will be walking up is gravel. Ugh! I'm worried about what type of heels to wear. Has to be heels because FH and I have a height difference of more than a foot Smiley smile Should I get wedges? Anyone else have this issue?

WEDGES! WEDGES! OMG, I was at a wedding and we all had to walk on ballast - not nice little pea gravel but like junky chunky filler you use for construction sites. The grandma and aunt twisted their ankles, people were walking in the wet grass to get out of the gravel, I broke my heel. It was horrible.

I am waiting for snow to melt so I can go look at the space and decide where we are going to be....but it will either be a dirt incline with tree roots or grass....so I'm hoping to wear wedges. I think they give you the height while still keeping stabilitySmiley smile

Wedges not anything else, and def ones that have an upper level strap, if not ankle then at least have them cover or go over the middle of the foot for security, and its best if your girls practice walking on gravel in the shoes beforehand to get used to the sliding

Definitely wedges and something that holds the shoe in place on your foot like Anisea suggested. Will your girls be wearing heels too? I'd check and make sure they're all comfortable walking on gravel.

Absolutely wedges. Do not make your girls wear heels if they don't want to. Warn them about the gravel.
