So my mom might be going to jail......

2 years ago this November my mom was fired from her job as a convenience store manager because of embezzlement. It ended up being like $5000. She got a misdemeanor and had to pay it all back. Well she got a new job as a cashier at a different convenience store. She was fired from there yesterday for embezzlement of like $2000. And it wasn't even cash necessarily. I just don't understand what is going on in her mind. The owner of the convenience store decided to press charges today instead of just doing restitution. My parents were struggling on BOTH their incomes and now this happens. I've had a headache ever since I was told about this. It is really difficult for me to reconcile this in my mind with who I've always believed my mother to be. We never would have thought she would do it the first time and now she's done it AGAIN.
