So... I'm getting married this weekend in Beverly Hills.

Based on the title, what the heck are we supposed to do about the Getty Fires? Do we provide face masks in the event of the smokiness that will linger? Do we postpone? Take it as a sign? Cry? How does one scramble less than 6 days away?

Is your venue in an evacuation zone? Are your guests' travel plans likely to be impacted? I wouldn't postpone if the answer to both of this is no. The smoke can definitely be a problem for those with asthma or other medical conditions, but it's more of a nuisance for everyone else (outside of actual fire danger areas of course). Good luck!

Does your venue and an indoor option for weather and events like this? They should have a plan B similar for rain. Also within 6 days the fire should be contained and mostly out.

I got married a month ago and this was my biggest concern with getting married in California in the fall.

You’ll most likely be fine in 6 days. Air quality might not be great but they should be able to contain it or get it out completely by then.

If your venue has an indoor portion maybe that’s an option for you?

You'll be fine. Fires haven't jumped over the 405 and the city won't allow it to get too close to more mansions in Bel Air before it gets to BH.
