I considered a destination wedding way in the beginning, until I started talking to family and friends about it and realized how many people who I loved would not be able to attend my wedding! Then I also realized I probably wouldn't have a shower which I don't care about the gifts, but getting to spend quality time with the women in my family. Good luck searching! We had the same situation. started out wanting a destination, then changed to home so more family and friends could attend. happy planning!

We were considering a destination. Wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica.. My heart just wouldn't let me get married without having my daddy walk. his only daughter down the isle. I wanted my parents and children to be there, and in Jamaica, they wouldn't have ben able to come out.

Awww.... we had a DW and it was amazing - BUT, they are definitely not for everyone, and you are smart to make the decision now and do what is best for you. good luck in your search!

Agreed with Ashlee- they're not for everyone. It's perfect for us because we wanted our wedding to be one big celebration with a quick ceremony. Happy planning!
