So Excited!

Justine, on August 20, 2019 at 11:55 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
Getting married in 5 days! Omg, I'm so excited and I need a little advice guys. 1. When I get this excited I can't sleep through the night and I have been thinking about a sleeping aid (natural or not) what do you think? 2. I have been sick since Friday and I feel fine now except for a major shortness in breath. I'm scared about this because my FH asked me to serenade him at tge reception and if I don't get better, I don't think I can. Anybody had that problem and knows a quick fix?

I know most sleep aids are flim flam but I love MidNite. It has the perfect mix for me. Just an FYI with sleep aids that contain melatonin if you consume more melatonin than your body needs it has the reverse effect and will make you very alert.

Also teas with valerian root are nice to help you get sleepy

I started typing and realized you were saying the exact same thing.

So yes, I second all of this. As for the sick, hit up urgent care just to be safe. It is probably nothing, but if you've come in contact with the flu or a virus they may be able to give you Tamiflu or something else to help.

    Good luck!!!

Hopefully the sickness will improve with more sleep haha. Also, drinks lots of water. Like as much as you can reasonably stand to drink. It'll flush the sick out and you'll be extra hydrated for your wedding! Hydration is so good for your hair, skin, digestion and for an overall good feeling Smiley smile I personally take a melatonin gummy that I got from Walmart. This coupled with a firm bedtime helps. Set an alarm on your phone and once the alarm goes off start your nighttime routine (wash face, brush teeth etc). Then go to bed no matter what. No more tv, no more phone. If you still can't sleep, try reading something, but still no screens.

Looking forward to your BAM post!! Smiley laugh

That's a great idea! i do always sleep better after working out. If I can get my shortness of breath under control, I will workout at night befire going to bed.

Me too! Thanks for the advice. I will be lights out and screens off at 10 each night and hopefully that's good enough. The water has been working wonders for my skin! I am currentlt drinking around 10 cups a day but if I could fit a few more in, that might be better.
