I'm getting married in October of 2026. I have no clue what I am doing. I'm not even sure where to start

Hopefully you are getting oriented on what needs to be done.
Like Veronica shared, the first task is to figure out what money you can have for the wedding and figure out a general sense of the number of guests you will have. Find out what some of the expected costs are for venues you would consider, but do this also with a sense of budget for various elements of the wedding -- venue, food, florals, decor, photography, attire. You can use the WeddingWire budget tool or find another convenient calculator.
From there, you can figure out the size of the event and the degree of decor and options that will still fit in your budget. Also, consider that tips should be given for services. Then plan for unexpected costs. Try to adjust your plans and your budget as seems best.
