We are actually having our guys wear DVS's. Fh will be wearing them too. We are having the girls wear heels though because I just don't think it will look right if they wear sneakers with their dresses.

We tried to get the GM's to do Chucks, but no luck :-/ I'm wearing silver sparkly ones, and thought the idea would be cute to have everyone including the kids wear em too.....we planned to have the BM's wear fancy shoes for the fancy girly type pictures and then have a huge group shot of all the wedding party in Chucks with shoelaces that matched our colors (horizon blue) That way, everyone was happy. Our feeling was if the bridesmaids want to keep wearing them after the ceremony and pictures, they can, if they want to only wear them for the pictures, then that was okay too. Good luck!!

I actually think the idea is cute! I'm am considering getting all my bridesmaids chuck taylor's for the wedding day but haven't decided since about half of my girls are more the "girly girl" type!

I would love to do an all chucks party for the gm's and bm's but FH doesn't like the idea! I love my chucks!

We may all be doing chucks at my wedding as well!

I thought about sneakers for my FH and his sons (ages 13 and 9 currently) but FH wanted air force 1's and I refused to pay that much for sneakers...so we are sticking to the shows you get from David's bridal lol

This was FH's contribution to the wedding planning. He wants the entire bridal party to change into Chucks for the reception. The only one that excited about it is 13 yr.old daughter. Luckily, I found some pretty darn close to the color of the dresses. So the ladies will have on the teal ones and the men will be wearing grey.

My FH and GM are wearing white Air Force 1 but I never even thought about doing it for the girls.

I found black sparkly chucks at target for 35 which i got for my bms..the kids even the flowergirls are wearing them..i got some customized ones from converse.com..they say mrs. dees 2011 on them!!

I found these at Wal-mart today for $12 in different colors.

I would have the girls where heels in a color matching the Chucks.

I've never thought about this idea, but now that I am reading this post, I'm loving it! FH is a chuck-o-holic! He's got so many pairs of them! I'd love to do this for both the BM and the GM, even if it is just for pics!

Believe me when I tell u. I am wearing chucks under my wedding dress. I am getting them bling out. My mother is having a fit but it's my day I want to be comfortable. I got my BM chucks and they said they will wear them at the reception. I don't see nothing wrong with. I personally love chucks. I have them in 10 different colors

I love it when a Bride does something that is so originally "her". Do you wear chucks normally? Something about wearing normal shoes and being all dolled up is just adorable!

Not only will it make for great photos, but you guys will be so comfortable!

I have seen on ebay people selling chucks completely blinged out, maybe you could do something like that for the girls, to make it a little more dressy?

I found our grey chucks at Foot Locker during one of there 50% sales so we purchased a pair for all of his GMs. Another one of my DIY projects is to label them with our date.

Im having the grooms & groomsmen wearing Chucks & myself and the BMwill be wearing peekaboo heels.
