SMY: Silicone Rings!

We got them. Mine is grey, FHs is black. When they started selling those at the store FH works at, he was actually the first one to purchase them!
We keep on making plans about being more outdoorsy, so hopefully we'll be able to wear them soon! 😊

I don't really get the appeal of them...I guess if you were super active but then do you wear them at home too and to work?

I have some! I use them for the gym, the beach, hiking and sometimes work. I'm a teacher so sometimes it get messy!

I got a 5 pack off Amazon for $11. I am a mom of two and we live at a state park. I use it when we’re outside or getting dirty. I also plan to add stones to my ring instead of getting a wedding band. So, I will use the silicone ring for the last part of the engagement.

A lot of people aren't able to wear metal bands at work due to dangerous work conditions, so some wear silicone bands as an alternative. My husband has one that he wears at work.

These can be a good idea if your job might be dangerous to your hands (firefighters, military, working with machines). Also kinda cool. I get the appeal.

We might get FH one, because he can’t wear detailed bands in the kitchen. We haven’t actually looked into it too much yet.

I have one that I wear to the beach and to the gym!

I'm currently military so i wear one at work and I also wear one when I'm working out, but in public or around the house I wear actual rings.

FH and I both do Crossfit so we were them during workouts or whenever we’re on the go somewhere!

I looked into it as we travel a lot and I don’t want to ruin ours in the sand or water but we both don’t really like the look of them and both don’t mind if we just don’t wear our rings while traveling. To each their own!

I have one! When we first got engaged I was still working in a lab, and wanted something less valuable to wear. I don’t like the feeling of no ring. I have also worn it to a music festival, the gym/pool, and will be wearing it some days when teaching (science teacher - labs and such)

I have an enso ring I wear when I run with my dog and lift weights. Once we are married and I have my band I will likely start to wear my band and no ering for these activities.

Not married yet but I have a silicone band for the beach / gym as a replacement for my engagment ring when the conditions aren't ideal to wear the real one .. I'll probably get fh a silicone replacement as well after the wedding

I have one for when we are doing home improvement stuff, moving furniture, or on the off times I ever work out. It’s gray. FH works in a warehouse, so we have a regular band for him but he will be wearing a black silicone ring daily at work after the wedding.

My FH and I have been discussing getting him one as his main ring. He works in a factory and is around lots of machines. He also is a bodybuilder so he can wear it during his hours at the gym.

I prefer wearing my ring whenever possible, but I wore the silicone at first when my ring was being sized. I hated taking it off. We ended up getting him one to wear until we go get his wedding ring since he was feeling left out lol.

its also nice to have when I work out/lift weights. Don’t want to get it banged up. And while at the beach before it was sized I was really worried it would fall off in the water and be gone forever.

its a nice alternative to have so you don’t have to go handless. I still prefer my actual one, but the silicone is great to still have SOMETHING on during those random occasions.

I also know several others who do the same when going to the gym, swimming, work, and arts and crafts.

My FH works as a cable tech so we may get them as an alternative..I also would consider it for the gym. I’m so overprotective over my ring.

I want one but ill have to test it out. I am a massage therapist so of course massaging with a rock on my hand would hurt my clients lol. If a silicone ring does not work i will get a necklace to hold my rings mostly so that i do not lose them while constantly taking them on and off

I use mine for the gym, weights or any kind of beach activity! It’s a perfect substitute but I’m real ring is wayyy better lol
