I made a rough draft seating chart, but our plan was open seating since most people our age know each other. Right now we have 8 tables, 8 a pop (might fit 10 each, checking).

Or we can do open seating, but add 2 tables. I think most people will float around (except family).

Thoughts and advice?

We had about 42 guests and still did assigned tables—with a mix of 6, 7 and 8 people at each table. I think people really like have a confirmed place to go. We did also have a few high boys so people could chat and mingle after dinner.

I would to table assignments. I think it is incredibly rude to just do assignments for family. Are they getting better food too?

This is making me feel better about doing table assignments for my 50 guest wedding.
