So I recently have been considering a small intimate wedding, was just wondering if anyone else on here is planning one or has had one and it turned out really nice. Do you still have a reception?

Yes I'm planning to do a small ceremony with only 25 people and then a larger reception with around 75. I feel like my anxiety would be so high having to say my vows in front of that many people! I know I'm going to be nervous enough as is.

How small? My bff had a small wedding of like 65 people. She had it in her backyard. Used Macgregors in Havre de Grace - they did the food and the tent/rentals. It was awesome! They each had a best man/MOH and one bridesmaid/groomsman.

I would try a park - you can rent pavilions and have mission BBQ or someone cater as well. Deer Creek Overlook in Harford county is really pretty!

We're doing the wedding ceremony itself in a very intimate fashion--immediate family only, so 30-40 people. We're inviting the aunts, uncles, and cousins for a larger reception. It was the only way we could make it happen with the ceremony venue we are obsessed with and our performance anxiety levels.
