Slow Rsvps

Amanda, on November 13, 2019 at 10:35 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

Just over a week until my RSVP by date and here are my numbers...

48 yes

3 no

82 PENDING!

We decided to to e-RSVP through our wedding website to save some money and knew that meant that we'd have to end up calling the couple older people on our list, but I'd say 80% of my pending invites are between the ages of 18 and 35, so they should have no issue pulling the website up on their phone and RSVPing.

How close to your RSVP date did you get most of your responses?

We sent Save-The-Dates, then the wedding Invitations, lastly we posted on Facebook. We’re now two day until our cut off date and we’re waiting on 30 people to respond. Granted we have 65 people coming with 20 declined. As soon as we posted on Facebook we got most of responses back. We even include our website to make it easier for them!!

We got most of our mail-in RSVPs back on the RSVP by deadline, with some coming in after. Since yours is online, I would expect to get tons of them in the day of. People procrastinate and since the result is instantaneous, most people probably aren't worried about doing it before the due date.

Lots of people don't understand how vital those numbers are. I know my parents would wait last minute to RSVP if they weren't sure if they'd be able to attend. After this whole wedding experience, I somewhat scolded them for dragging their feet!

That age group is also the laziest. They will do it at the last minute. But make some calls they'll pour in young ppl love to party at fun weddings

I got a ton of them the week of. People are bad about it. You will most likely still need to follow up anyway
