Sleeves?

Jackie, on September 7, 2019 at 11:08 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
I bought this dress. I LOVE it except I'm insecure with my arms & I always thought I would get a wedding dress with sleeves. I'm wondering if adding sleeves to this dress would look weird?

! If you love it then that’s all that matters! No one will be starring at your arms - you’ll be moving around all night and that dress is gorgeous and so are you! ROCK IT GIRL!!! We all have insecurities! This day is about you (and FH) but don’t stress - maybe try it on here and there walk around and get confident in it !!

From a construction standpoint, it should be really simple to add sleeves to this dress. It's gorgeous with our without sleeves though and I'm sure you'll look gorgeous!

I’m insecure about my arms too and thought I wanted sleeves. But I’m finding that I’m just self conscious about certain things but others don’t see it. The dress you included looks amazing without any sleeves!! I’m sure you look great in it

It should be fine and look gorgeous but I’d see if the salon can order extra fabric so it matches your dress exact.

It looks like you would be able to. Maybe bring the picture to a seamstress?

Sleeves should be easy enough. Other options is a wedding shrug, bolero, or lace topper. That way you can remove it for the reception if you want. You can get them in different sleeve lengths.

I've always been self-conscious about my arms, too, though it's lessened a lot as I've gotten older. After trying on a few dresses with sleeves, I decided they were not for me!

As long as you love the dress and feel good in it, that's all people will see.

That dress is gorgeous! I think you should consider wearing it as is, and try not to be self conscious about your arms that I’m pretty sure you will be the only one thinking “I don’t like my arms”. No one will say “ohh the dress is beautiful but I don’t like her arms” . You will look beautiful !!!

I have a huge scar on my arm that I hate (reminds me of my ex; we got in a car accident, long story), so I thought the same thing. But I loved my dress too much as it was to change it (I am buying a little bridal jacket though because October nights in Michigan are cold, so if I change my mind, I can). Let us know what you decide, I'm sure you can rock it either way!
