Size to purchase?

Sarah, on June 30, 2019 at 9:40 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
I found my dress! And it was the first one I tried on (because I’ve been looking at dresses so long). I’m so happy. We’re going to buy it July 20th. My question is do I buy i it true to size or the size I hope to be by my wedding? I don’t want pressure to diet and lose weight- I’m not into that, been there done that- but I do want to be a little smaller.

I agree with Caytlyn, buy for the size you are now because it can be brought in if you do loose weight but not always let out very much if you don’t.

I fell in love with my dress. The one I tried on was a size 22, was too big. They had one someone had bought and was a size 18. I needed like an inch to fit into it. So I ordered the 18. What's 1 inch? Well now I have 1 option, I have to lose that inch. which is only like 5-10 pounds. One pant size.

If you don't want to work for it then buy your current size. If you get smaller than you can always alter it later.

I thought that most bridal gowns are ordered a little higher size than your regular size. Call and see if you can get a sizing chart based on your measurements. Its definitely better for it to be too big than too small for alterations purposes. I'm sure they can give you that info based on the designer.

But the size you are and know most dresses can be taken in up to two sizes if you lose the weight. 👍

Buy it the size that you are! The worst situation is buying it smaller and not making it to that size for whatever reason. It will cost more in the long run for alterations.

Buy what size you are now. It’s much easier for a seamstress to take it in that to let it out.

I think you should at least buy a size up. Take your measurements if you can and compare it to the size or size up you plan on buying
