Simplyeloped? Or any elopement companies?

Jenn, on November 18, 2020 at 3:05 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
We were scheduled to have a 200+Guest wedding in May 2020 that was postponed to September and now 2/13/21. We attended our first wedding as a guest and bridesmaid this past weekend. As fun as the wedding was, it wasn’t worth the stress of social distancing, questioning and now panicking because we just found out the bride and groom tested positive. This weekend was validation that it can happen, I can have my wedding but I don’t want any part of it until all this has subsided.
So we are canceling our wedding. Hopefully, we can come to some kind of financial agreement that gives us some money back from our venue.

We’re going to Elope! I want to do something small and cozy but, if I’m canceling my big wedding I want one hell of a backdrop for my photos.
I found a company called SimplyEloped.com has anyone used them or have any recommendations on a company that will put this whole thing together?
We plan to have our parents, grandma and siblings there. 10-15 ppl max.
We are in South Florida and looking for a location that is driving distance no more than 14 hours. We don’t want to put our parents on a plane.
So far I have found Toccoa Falls in GA, Jump Off Rock in Asheville, NC, Rock Island State Park in TN.
Any recommendations? Would like to keep our February date or possible do 1/1/21 if we can.

I have never heard of simplyeloped, but it sounds like a great option. Here are a couple of other NC options (since you mentioned Asheville specifically)...

    Asheville Luxury Elopements

The Mast Farm Inn (we actually looked here as a possible venue)

Elkin Creek Vineyard (this is where we had our wedding, so I am partial Smiley shame )

Here are just a few! Keep in mind, February in western NC will be very cold! So you will likely want an indoor space or heaters. I hope this helps!

I've heard of themand have considered using them but it was cheaper to do everything by myself plus i only want our parents there. No siblings or grandparents.

We were originally going to elope and we had planned everything through Simply Eloped. Unfortunately, things changed for us but they were amazing throughout the whole planning process. They're very patient and were on top of any accommodation we would have needed. Even though we were unable to actually follow through with them, I'd still recommend them.

We were planning for Kiholo Bay on the Big Island, Hawaii. It's a gorgeous black sand beach and it has this underwater cave that we were gonna take photos in afterward called Queens Bath.

We were so excited but realize some of our guests wouldn't have been able to make it to where its located. We figured maybe we'll do it for a vow renewal one year, just the two of us.

That’s a beautiful plan! We booked two honeymoons in HI and had to cancel both. Hopefully we get there on an anniversary trip at some point.

Awe man. That's unfortunate! I feel your pain. As long as this whole covid situation doesn't last forever, I'm sure we'll all make there some time!

Hi! Simply Eloped bride here! 🙋🏻‍♀️ YES TO BOMB BACKDROPS! We live in San Diego but eloped to Sedona back in October. We had originally paid for a permit that was advertised on SE’s website as the location we wanted (Cathedral Rock, pictured below) however, once we got to the pinned location to get a lay of the location- it wasn’t what we had anticipated/ wanted. Instead, we contacted SE and asked if our officiant could do the ceremony at our super cute Airbnb. We had 20 people total (SE charges $10 each extra person over 20, and in that 20, you factor in officiant, bride/groom, photographer/ videographer). All in all it was insanely easy/ inexpensive. We had our own photographer (we ended up going to Cathedral Rock after our ceremony), I did my own hair/ make up. I loved our officiant! My only complaint was the misrepresentation of location- feedback I provided to the company afterwards. Please feel free to DM me if you had more specific questions Smiley smile Simplyeloped? Or any elopement companies? 1
