Is it necessary to make an entrance for the wedding party/Bride and Groom?

We aren't doing an introduction for our wedding party, but we are doing the bride/groom introduction which will go straight into our first dance. Even if you don't do a formal introduction, people will still be cheering or something when you enter since you are the bride and groom lol

No. I think for the bride and groom it is but for the rest of the party it isn't

We did an entrance for my husband and I - we walked in and took the mic for a quick thank you to all of our guests before dinner, followed by cake, toasts, first dance, etc. etc.

After the ceremony we did some family photos, wedding party, and then couple's portraits...because the wedding party was done so early, instead of waiting around for us to take our photos, we sent them over to enjoy the remainder of cocktail hour, and then moved into the dinner area with the rest of the guests. If you're not feeling an entrance, you could do the same, and get a few extra minutes with guests individually at cocktail hour Smiley smile

Nope! We didn’t do a formal entrance for us or the wedding party. We just joined our own cocktail hour.

It isn't necessary but it's fun! My husband and I were introduced and went straight into our first dance. Didn't bother announcing the bridal party.

I don't think it's necessary. It is something, however, my FH and I like and are doing. I will say I've never been to a wedding where the bride and groom, at least, were not introduced. I've been to plenty of weddings where the bridal party wasn't introduced.

I've never seen an announced entrance of the bride and groom (with special music, etc) at any wedding I've attended and no one thought it was weird. You won't be lost in the crowd at any point. Not everyone wants the extra spotlight either. Do what works for you.
